Mission Statement
“The purpose of this organization shall be to encourage and promote the use of better agricultural and home economics practices among the youth of Clark County in the State of Indiana by devising ways and means of assisting, planning, financing, and conducting of 4-H club agricultural and home economics enrollment and exhibits, and providing premiums there-for and educational trip awards and expenses thereof, and the doing of any other thing or things conductive to the progress of the youth of said county in agricultural, horticultural, and home economics pursuits, development, and attainments.”



Clark County 4-H Open House

Cultivating an Environment for Growing True Leaders

Creating an environment where 4-H members feel safe as they grow and develop leadership skills means having volunteers who understand the basics of positive youth development. This session will feature ideas and activities that help foster life skill development by focusing on strategies for more effective club interactions. Participants will learn about the Essential Elements of 4-H and the 5 C’s of positive youth development, so join us to set the stage for more successful club meetings!


Clark County 4-H Junior Leader Hurricane Relief Project


The Area II 4-H Junior Leader groups have joined together to form a Hurrican Relief Project. Each county in our area will be in charge of collecting specific items to be sent to all hurricane relief areas. Clark County 4-H Junior Leaders will be gathering toothpaste and monetary donations. All donations of toothpaste and funds can be delivered to the Clark County Extension Office located at 9608 Hwy. 62 Charlestown, IN. Office hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm (Closed Noon-1pm for lunch). If you have questions please feel free to contact the office at 812-256-4591 or kcarunch@purdue.edu.


Clark County 4-H National Youth Science Day

The 2017 National Science Experiment, Incredible Wearables, is a hands-on engineering design process of building a wearable technology prototype that gathers data to help solve a real-world problem. The Incredible Wearables kit is a fun way for kids to build wearable fitness trackers.
